what is this thing
This is a rhythm I got from Adam Rudolph. It can be conceived of as 9 bars of 2 beats in triple meter. These 9 bars then encompass 16 bars of the original standard- the first 8 are SLSSLSSLSSL(26 units)the second 8 are SLSSLSSLSSSL(28 units). In total they add up to 54 units- 18 beats, 3 units per beat
all the things you are
Here is a rhythm consisting of a cycle of 4 cells: 1) 3 beats 2) 4 beats 3) 5 beats 4) 4 beats. Due to the tag on the a' section of the tune, the entire form must be played twice before the rhythm and the form both arrive at the top at the same time.
figit time
A Doug Hammond composition consisting of a 7 bar phrase and a 6 bar phrase.
17 rhythm
mode: LSSLSSL =17 units
Set against a triple meter, the rhythm mode begins on the 1st then 3rd then 2nd triplet
miles' mora
a rhythm composed by Miles Okazaki, and set to a 32 bar progression. The rhythmic structure breaks down to 6 beats+5 beats+4+3+2+3+4+5 and then repeats. The rhythm can be conceived of having a 2 voice counterpoint. This version of the tune utilizes a harmonic scheme based on a reciprocal inversion of Rhythm Changes.

One of Steve Coleman's arrangements. It's based on confirmation, and uses the rhythm mode: SLSSSS
Orissa/Little Girl I'll Miss You
The "Orissa" refers to a Cuban drum chant set against a clave. Then this is applied to the Bunky Green composition "Little Girl, I'll Miss You"
Adrenal
Another drum chant set against the clave. The drum chant modulates so that the heartbeat figure(ta tam, ta tam)is initiated on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd triplet. This can be conceived of a rhythmic analog to dominant and subdominant harmonic movement.
